Frieze Art Fair takes place every October in Regent’s Park, London.

Galleries

Frieze Art Fair features over 170 galleries from around the world, providing a unique opportunity to see and buy work by leading artists.

Programme

The fair hosts an annual curatorial programme, presented by Frieze Foundation.

Frieze Art Fair is open to galleries who show an international programme of artists and present a minimum of four exhibitions per year in their galleries. Focus, a new section is open to galleries who opened in or after 2001 and will showcase presentations of up to three artists. Applicants to Frame, a section dedicated to solo artist presentations, must have opened their galleries in or after 2006 and have presented at least four exhibitions in the past year.

John Bock in Conversation with Franz Erhard Walther

Since the early 1960s, Franz Erhard Walther has explored the possibilities of objects and images that prompt viewers to do something other than just look. Walther was an inspirational teacher at Hamburg’s Hochschule für Bildende Künste, and John Bock was one of his students. Bock’s work - in the spirit of Walther’s - transforms action, speech and everyday materials into complex installations. Frieze New York is a contemporary art fair that will take place on Randall’s Island, Manhattan 4 – 7 May 2012. The fair will feature approximately 170 of the world’s most forward-thinking galleries.
