Projects
Frieze Projects is a programme of artists’ commissions realised annually at Frieze Art Fair. In 2009 it was curated by Neville Wakefield and included seven new projects as well as The Cartier Award and collaborations with partner institutions CAC Vilnius and Arte Contempo.
Award
The winner of the Cartier Award 2009 was American artist Jordan Wolfson. For Frieze Art Fair 2009, Wolfson presented a new site-specific work.
Talks
In 2009 Frieze Talks, a daily programme of keynote lectures, panel debates and discussions, was presented by Frieze Foundation and programmed by the editors of frieze magazine.
Film
Frieze Film 2009 was a newly commissioned project in four parts by Danish artist-activists Superflex. Frieze Film was shown in Channel 4’s ‘3 Minute Wonder’ slot during the week of Frieze Art Fair.
Education
In 2009 Frieze Education once again worked with ReachOutRCA to realize an artist-led programme of events for children and young people.
