Sponsorship and Events Assistant

Requirement: Full time
Salary: 18-22K

For this role Frieze is seeking a responsible, efficient and organised individual to work with the Head of Development. Frieze is a dynamic and inspiring environment in which to work and this role will suit someone who is enthusiastic and keen to learn.

As Sponsorship and Events Assistant you will support the department with the development of client relationships, management of sponsor benefits and organisation of events.

Other responsibilities include:
• Researching new sponsorship contacts
• Coordinating sponsored projects
• Managing mailouts
• Updating databases
• Carrying out general administrative tasks

Skills:
• Two years’ experience in an office environment
• Ability to prioritise tasks and work to deadlines
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Experience of organising events or working with sponsorship clients
• An interest in contemporary art an advantage

Assistant VIP Manager

Requirement: July-November 2008, full time
Salary: dependent on experience
Deadline: Tuesday 13 May 2008

We are looking for an Assistant VIP Manager to support the VIP Department in the lead-up-to and during Frieze Art Fair 2008. The role requires strong organisational and people skills, a good eye for detail, and ability to work under pressure.

Experience of events management and of working in the contemporary art sector an advantage.

Responsibilities include:
• Acting as a point of contact for fair VIPs including collectors, curators and artists
• Ensuring VIP services run smoothly in the run-up-to and during the fair
• Maintaining VIP data
• Assisting with the production of the VIP hospitality programme
• Assisting with the management of a team of temporary staff
• Assisting with mail-outs
• Liaising with museum groups

Essential skills:
• Excellent communication skills
• Computer literate
• Good time management
• Ability to work in a team
• Attention to detail
• Experience of working with databases

Desirable:
• Experience of using Filemaker
• Language skills

Marketing Internship

Requirement: May – October 2008, full time

The London office requires a marketing intern to assist with all aspects of marketing for both frieze magazine and Frieze Art Fair.

Duties will include assisting with subscription drives and mailings, the distribution of inserts and flyers and general administrative support to the Communications department. This internship will be of particular appeal to recent graduates with an interest in contemporary art, marketing and magazine publishing. Travel and lunch expenses will be covered. Frieze Intern London

Requirement: 2-3 months full time.
Salary: This is a voluntary position, though travel and lunch expenses will be paid.

We are looking for an enthusiastic intern to work in the London office on a voluntary basis. Working under the supervision of the professional staff, as an intern you will contribute to the day-to-day operation of the office, gain insight into the workings of frieze magazine and Frieze Art Fair. We run approximately four internships per year. During the Summer and Autumn internships the intern will play a key role in the lead up to and duration of the Fair, while the Winter and Spring internships may also include the opportunity to contribute to the production of the magazine.

The internship will be of particular use to students and graduates with an interest in contemporary art, art fairs and magazine publishing and who are keen to make a contribution to this dynamic company. When applying for the position please specify which internship you are applying for.

Frieze Intern Berlin

Requirement: 2-3 months, 20 hours per week.
Salary: This is a voluntary position.

We are looking for an enthusiastic intern to work in the Berlin office on a voluntary basis. Working under the supervision of the professional staff, as an intern you will contribute to the day-to-day operation of the office and gain insight into the workings of frieze magazine. We run approximately four internships per year.
